Precision Belt Filter Cloth for DLW Horizontal Vacuum Belt Filters
Skytech Ultrafab Horizontal Belt Filter (DLW) Cloth is engineered for continuous-operation horizontal vacuum belt filters — also known as DLW (Dorr-Oliver/Larox-Weir) or horizontal belt vacuum filters — used for high-throughput dewatering of mining slurries, chemical precipitates, phosphate concentrate, gypsum, and paper pulp. Precision-woven from polypropylene or polyester monofilament to exact DLW filter specifications, the cloth provides optimal drainage rate, cake release, and dimensional stability under the continuous tension and vacuum loading of 24/7 belt filter operation.
What Is a Horizontal Belt Filter (DLW)?
A Horizontal Belt Filter (DLW) is a continuous-operation vacuum filtration machine where a moving filter cloth belt passes over a series of vacuum boxes. Slurry is fed onto the belt, vacuum is applied through the cloth, and liquid drains away while a filter cake builds on the upper surface. The cake is washed and further dewatered as the belt advances, then discharged at the belt end before the cloth returns for the next cycle. The filter cloth must combine correct porosity with the dimensional stability to run continuously under tension and vacuum without stretching, creeping, or tracking off the belt.

Features and Benefits
-
Precision Woven Monofilament:
Woven from SS 316L or PP/PES monofilament yarn for precise, consistent aperture across the full belt width — uniform drainage rate prevents cake non-uniformity and channelling
-
Dimensional Stability Under Tension:
Heat-set woven construction maintains precise belt width and length under the continuous mechanical tension of the belt drive system — no elongation or width creep over time
-
Anti-Tracking Edge:
Straight-woven selvedge edges and optional guide strips prevent belt tracking problems that cause cloth damage and process disruption in continuous DLW operation
-
Excellent Cake Release:
Smooth monofilament surface minimises cake adhesion — clean discharge at the belt head reduces cloth carry-over, belt washing water consumption, and cloth blinding rate
-
Low Blinding Rate:
Open weave construction with high free area percentage maintains drainage capacity over long continuous operating periods between cloth cleaning intervals
-
Custom Width and Joint:
Belt width from 500 mm to 3500 mm fabricated to DLW filter specification; seamless or welded joint options for continuous belt installation
